摘　　要： 汉英语言中均存在＂同物异名＂现象。本文运用认知语言学中的识解理论探究了汉英语言中＂同物异名＂现象的认知缘由,认为汉英语言中的＂同物异名＂现象是认知主体识解某一事物时确定不同范畴,突显不同特征,采用不同视角,权衡不同精细度,进行不同投射所致。 There exists in both Chinese and English the linguistic phenomenon of ＂many names for one thing＂.Based on the construal theory of cognitive linguistics,this article probes into this phenomenon,finding that the existence of ＂many names for one thing＂ results from the fact that the subjects,when naming one thing,may set it in different categories,focus on its salient prosperities,choose different perspectives,consider different levels of specificities and use different projections.
