摘 要: 为了厘清任务-语境-关联的关系,本文提出并验证了生态语境观,考察了电影视频与音频两种任务及多媒体教室与语言实验室两种环境对听力理解(简称听解)的影响。被试为三组英语专业二年级学生,在两种课室环境下分别完成一项视频和一项音频听解任务。结果显示:1)任务中画面与音频关联性大时,视频对听解的作用比音频更显著;画面与音频关联性较小时,视频与音频对听解的影响无显著差异。2)音频任务实验中,语言实验室比多媒体教室更能促进听解;视频任务实验中,多媒体教室与语言实验室则无显著差异。该研究结果验证了外延认知关于任务是语境的一部分的观点,为生态语境观和消除语境研究的分歧和概念混淆提供了证据。 This article proposed an eco-context view to clarify the relationships among task, context,and relevance, and investigated the effects of two types of tasks and settings on listening comprehension. Three groups of subjects completed the audio and video tasks in the language laboratory and the multimedia classroom respectively. Results showed:(1) there was significant difference between the audio and video groups when image and sound were strongly mapped semantically or vice versa; and(2) significant difference between the two settings was found in the audio but not in the video treatments, indicating that the language laboratory is more audio-specific.Empirical evidence was thus provided for the eco-context view, the task-as-part-of-environment viewpoint of extended cognition, and the resolving of disagreements and confusions in context studies.
