摘　　要： 鉴于我国城市化进程中城市无序扩张的现状，概要介绍了美国城市理性发展理念的内涵、起源以及发展历程，并阐述了理性发展理念在美国应用过程中的技术措施——城市发展边界对土地价值的影响，以期能够对我国的土地规划工作有所启示。 View on the situation of urban sprawl in China, this paper introduces summarily the conception, origin and phylogeny of Smart Growth in America, and elaborates the effect of the measure which has been applied in America Urban Growth Boundary （ UGB ） on the value of land, hopes to give some inspiration for the task of land planning in China.
