摘　　要： 文章对金融等级体系和城市等级体系的形成机理和内在特征进行分析,发现两者虽然有重合之处,但演化路径和决定因素存在明显差异。在此基础上,以大珠三角区域为样本区,建立指标体系并采用因子分析和聚类分析方法定量测度金融等级体系和城市等级体系,同样发现两者的层级形态和分布格局各不相同。综合理论分析和实践检验结果,得出主要结论:金融等级体系和城市等级体系是两组不同的概念,金融等级体系自下而上形成,其动力主要取决于金融业发展变化,而城市等级体系自上而下演化,其动力则来自于各个行业发展变化,因此关于两者相互决定的观点并不完全正确。即便如此,金融业作为城市等级体系演化的一个可能影响因子,确实会使金融等级体系和城市等级体系表现一定的双向耦合性,进而修正和拓展了Sassen的单向耦合性观点。 The formative principle and intrinsic characteristics of financial hierarchical system and urban hierarchical system are analyzed. There are overlaps between these two systems,but the evolutional paths and determinant factors are quite different. Based on the differences,taken the Greater Pearl River Delta Region as the sample,an index system is established,and the methods of factor analysis and cluster analysis are used to measure financial hierarchical system and urban hierarchical system. Both patterns of level and distributional structures contain obvious differences in both systems. Combined the results from theoretical analysis and empirical researches,the conclusion shows that the financial hierarchical system and urban hierarchical system are two different kinds of concepts. The formation of financial hierarchical system is by the way of ＂bottom-top＂,because the evolutional power depends mainly on the development and changes of financial industry; while,the formation of urban hierarchical system is by the way of ＂top-bottom＂,because the evolutional power for urban hierarchical system is derived from the development and changes of various industries. Therefore,the idea of reciprocal determinism between financial hierarchical system and urban hierarchical system is not completely correct. Nevertheless,financial industry,as a potential factor to impact the evolution of urban hierarchical system,makes a certain bidirectional coupling between financial hierarchical system and urban hierarchical system indeed,and financial industry modifies and extends the point of Sassen’s one-way coupling
