摘　　要： 描写翻译研究中的“假定翻译”概念把伪译作为一种重要的历史文化现象加以考察。因此对特定翻译现象的语境化可以使我们看清伪译发生的功能、过程和结果之间的相互依赖性。在此基础上，我们对一个案例进行了语境化的考察。该项研究显示，社会对伪译的阅读和接受展示了文化转型阶段中国读者对翻译的接受和生产模式，伪译出现背后隐藏着伪译者试图通过化机制的操纵以达到攫取商业利润的目的。 The concept of assumed translation in descriptive translation studies sets up a context in which pseudo-translations can be investigated. Therefore, contextualizing certain translational phenomenon can make us see the interdependencies of function, process and product of their generation. A pseudo-translation is examined within such a framework, which demon- strates the model of Chinese readers＇ reception and production of translation, and its emergence results from pseudotranslator manipulating the cultural mechanism to make the commercial profit.
