摘　　要： 中国社会教育社是第一个全国性的社会教育学术团体,它以"研究社会教育学术,促进社会教育事业"为宗旨,将一群年龄相若、经历迥异的教育界精英凝聚在一起。近代中国社会教育的发展路径在于建立社会本位的大教育体系、提倡"政教合一"和致力于乡村建设的文化反哺,这一路径的选择,根植于中国"以农立国"的基本国情以及中国教育传统中潜在的政治倾向,体现了中国社会教育社以教育改造来达到社会改造的共同目标,在对社会教育的本土化的探索中助力中国教育现代化的进程。 Social Education League of China is the first national association of social education in Chi- na. It aims at studying and promoting social education and has gathered a group of elites of the same age but with quite different experiences in the education field. This paper points out that modern social educa- tion in China aimed to establish a society-based education system, advocated the unification of the politics and the education, and paid attention to rural construction. The logic of doing this was rooted in China＇s basic national conditions of ＂establishing the country with agriculture＂ and the potential political tendency in Chinese educational tradition. This reflects the common goal of Social Education League of China to re- form the society by reforming education and to promote the process of China^s educational modernization in the exploration of the localization of social education.
