When elaborating and deducting political freedom, John Locke never forgot to place his analysis on his philosophy. To him, the eternal existence of a cogitative Being makes political freedom inviolable; the existence of freedom as one power or ability and its limit constitute the logic of the existence, extension and restriction of political freedom; the revelation plays a role of the last theoreti- cal weapon to defend political freedom. Nevertheless, his political standing makes the real political freedom he pursues not as universal, sufficient and thorough as he claims. Also, it is this same factor that makes him keep carefully an ambiguous attitude to human's effort for rationality, and fail to a chieve complete logic self-consistence when deducting philosophically his thoughts of political free dom.
