摘　　要： 美国著名小说《索菲的选择》被视为大屠杀文学的经典之作,其作者威廉·史泰伦在文学创作中立足现实,观照历史,开启一场文学与历史、历史与现实、现实与未来之间的复杂对话。在威廉·史泰伦看来,人类的悲剧首先归咎于其信仰缺失与精神迷茫。因为上帝的缺席,罪恶得以在宇宙间霸道纵横,人类坠入最黑暗的历史深渊。其次,人类自身的缺陷导致其人性抽离与裂变,于是人成了非人,成为罪恶之源,成为历史罪人。这样,在历史的坐标上,威廉·史泰伦沉思历史,反思人性,关切人类的精神荒原和生存困境,言说无以言说的历史秘密,从而揭示了历史的坐标价值,并解决了文学创作中难以逾越的文史关系问题,再现了男性作家笔下的严肃文学所具有的独特的社会意义和审美张力。 Sophie＇s Choice,famous American novel,is regarded as the classic work of Holocaust Literature. The author,William Styron,based upon the reality,reflected upon history,and opened a complex dialogue between literature and history and among history,reality and future. William Styron attributed human tragedy first to the absence of God,which got evil to run loose in the universe and man to fall into the darkest abyss. Secondly he held that human defects led to the fission of human nature,so that human became inhuman,a source of evil,and thus criminals in history. In the historical coordinates,William Styron fell into deep thought on history,human nature,the wilderness of human spirit,the plight of human survival,and spoke the unspeakable. All this reveals the coordinate value of history,solves the historical problems about the relation between history and literature in literary creation,and reproduces the unique social significance and aesthetic tension of the serious literature written by male writers.
