摘　　要： 《国家地理》是美国地理学会的官方杂志,它的视角立足全球,以地理为切入点,融入了新闻、生态、环境和人文等多种因素,记录下一百多年来世界政治、经济、文化和历史的变迁,不仅留下了众多科学家、探险家对真相探索的足迹,也蕴含了人类对于梦想和信念孜孜不倦的追求。精美的图片、严谨的文字、充满文学色彩等特质使其成为国际顶级刊物,深受全球读者喜爱。本文通过梳理该杂志从1888年创刊到1912年清朝皇帝退位的25年间刊登有关中国的文章和照片,从报道题材、特点和影响等方面进行分析研究,通过西方的视野为研究晚清中国提供珍贵资料,给世人展现出客观真实、震撼人心的晚清中国政治文化风貌、人文地理画卷。 National Geography, the official journal of the American Geographical Society, focuses on cultural history, ecological environment, political news of the world, mainly on geography. It records more than 100 years of world＇ s politics and economy, culture and history. Not only left the footprint of large numbers of scientists and explorers, the journal also contains the human belief for chasing dream diligently. Exquisite pictures, rigorous language, full of literature and other characteristics make it an international top publication and enjoyed by readers all over the world. By collecting articles and photos about China on National Geography from 1888 to 1912 （25 years） when emperor influence of Qing through dynasty finally abdicated, this paper analyzes the report subject, characteristics and the eyes of Westerners, thus provides valuable information for the research about the late Qing dynasty, showing the objective reality, stirring style of Chinese political culture and the picture of human geography in late Qing dynasty to the whole world.
