摘　　要： 美国影视剧引用中国典籍不仅是中国文化发展的必然,也是中国文化走出去的时代诉求和西方文化丰富与提升的需要。通过分析《道德经》《孙子兵法》两部中国典籍在美剧中的引用翻译,可以看出美国影视剧引用中国典籍主要受剧情要求和西方文化的影响,译者应当在翻译时注意直译与意译相结合,做到增减有度,准确、高效,保证翻译质量。 American TV series frequently quote from Chinese classics. This is a result of the development of Chinese classical culture, and a demand by time of Chinese culture ＂going global＂, meanwhile, it also helps to enrich western culture. Through analyzing the ex- isting quotations from Tao Te Chin and The Art of War in American TV series, it is obvious that the translation is deeply affected by show theme and culture, which undermined the accuracy and efficiency of the translation. Translators should combine the methods of literal translation and free translation, and make proper adjustments to ensure the translation quality.
