摘　　要： 基于中英媒体对马航事件的英文报道,本研究对比分析了其转述言语中的转述来源、转述方式与转述评价,并由此探讨了中英媒体在灾难性事件报道中转述言语的差异。研究发现,就灾难性事件而言,在转述来源上,中英媒体绝大部分都使用确定来源,其中中方转述来源多为官员,而英方媒体的消息来源则趋于多元化;在转述方式上,中方媒体使用的间接引语多于直接引语,而英方媒体中则相反;在转述评价上,中英媒体报道中消极词汇皆多于积极词汇,而两者之间在积极与消极词汇使用上差异并不明显。本文还在此基础上讨论了研究的理论与实践意义。 This present study discussed reported speech in Disaster News Discourse,as represented by both Chinese and English news reports regarding the MH370 accident. A contrastive study was conducted on reported speech in terms of its sources,modes and appraisals of quotation. It is found that Chinese media quote more frequently from officials while English media are more diversified in its sources of quotation,though both of them tend to quote from credible sources; in terms of modes of quotation,Chinese media prefer indirect quotation to direct quotation while English media prefer direct to indirect one; in terms of its appraisal,negative verbs,nouns and adjectives are more frequently used in English media than Chinese media,and there is no significant difference between them in the use of negative or positive words. This paper also discusses the theoretical and practical significance of the research.
