摘　　要： 1954年12月25日,举世闻名的川藏公路和青藏公路同时通车拉萨,结束了西藏没有现代公路交通的历史,拉开了西藏现代史上公路交通运输的新纪元。本文仅就以"两路"建成通车为代表的公路交通对西藏这个特殊区域的社会发展进步与祖国西南边疆巩固所发挥的重要作用做一探索,以期为今天西藏交通运输业发展繁荣提供借鉴。 On December 25,1954,Sichuan-Tibet Highway and Qinghai-Tibet Highway were both open to Lhasa.The two highways marked milestones and a new era in Tibet transportation.The paper discusses the significance of the construction of the two highways in promoting social development and national border security.The construction of the two highways also is very important in road construction.
