摘　　要： 为了降低发展的代价后果、化解社会的矛盾问题、促进社会的和谐进步,社会建设的理论与实践应运而生。改革开放以来特别是进入21世纪以来,我国在发展经济的基础上,更加重视社会建设,初步形成了经济社会协调发展的良好局面。新形势下,我国社会建设在继续保障和改善民生的基础上,要将重点放在优化社会结构和加强社会核心价值观建设上,促进社会结构秩序和社会价值秩序相统一,促进社会建设提升为社会文明,全面推进社会主义物质文明、政治文明、精神文明和社会文明协调发展,为人类文明做出更大贡献。 In order to reduce the cost consequences of development, resolve social contradictions,and promote social harmony and progress, the theories and practices of social construction came into being. Since the reform and opening-up, especially after entering twenty-first Century, China has paid more attention to social construction on the basis of economic development, and has initially formed a good situation: the coordinated development of economy and society. We should careful summarize the experiences of social construction, and adhere to the principle of combining social construction with the social core values construction, to further enhance the social construction to social civilization, to vigorously promote the unity of social structure order and social values order, to promote the harmonious development of socialist material civilization, political civilization, spiritual civilization and social civilization, and finally, to make greater contribution to human civilization.
