摘　　要： 本文将西方社群档案理论发展划分为五个阶段,具体阐述了其理论在社群主义思想的启蒙、边缘群体文化遗产项目的实践推动以及身份认同背景对档案需求的影响下产生,并借助社群信息学的技术支持呈现"爆炸式"增长;提出西方社群档案实践面临着社群内部资源的有限性和外部资助的不稳定性、社群档案理念践行过程中的扭曲以及网络信息安全问题等三个方面的挑战,并结合美籍犹太人历史协会(AJHS)档案工作的案例进一步认识其挑战。客观而全面地了解西方社群档案理论发展背景及其实践所面临的挑战,有助于我国档案界科学地研究、借鉴西方社群档案成果,并从中省视自身档案工作的缺失。 In this article,the development of ＂Community archives＂ is divided into five stages. It concretely elaborates how the theory of ＂Community archives＂ is generated under the influences with the en- lightenment of the communitarianism, the practice of the marginalized community cultural heritage project, the background of identity, andits ＂explosive growth＇with the help of community informatics technical sup- port. Principally, ＂Community archives＂ faces three challenges：the finiteness ofthe internal resources and the instability of the external funding; thedistortion of idea and the issues on network information security. Then combines with the case of the American Jewish Historical Society （AJHS） archives in order to gain further understanding of these three challenges.The theory of ＂CommunityArehives＂ promotes its practice,while it also plants＂seeds＂ for potential challenges,consider these challenges,there is a must that we need to identify the gaps in our own.
