摘　　要： 十八世纪以前,中国拥有世界领先的造船业。纵观春秋、秦汉、唐宋、元明这几个时期的战船形制与空间装饰,可以清晰地发现其兴衰的动因。与此同时,西方国家的造船业从无到有,一直蓬勃发展。文章通过比较中西方古战船的形制以及空间装饰,发现两者之间存在广泛的相似以及普遍的联系。再比较两者的发展历程,分析科学技术的进步、社会背景的差异、政治军事的格局等外部因素对中西方古代战船设计的影响。 Before eighteenth Century, China had the most prosperous shipbuilding industry in the world. According to the form and application of the warships in the periods of the history, it can clearly find the reason of the rise and fall. At the same time, the shipbuilding industry in western countries has developed from scratch. Compared with Chinese and western ancient warship＇s shape and application, it can be found there are similar and common link between them. Then analysis the development of science and technology, the differences of social background, pattern of political and military affairs and other external factors to affect the design of warships in the ancient.
