摘　　要： 摘要：当今世界，随着全球化趋势的加强，各种文化交流日益频繁，越来越多的美剧涌入中国，受到国人的青睐。作为美国流行文化的象征之一，美剧通过其展现的丰富文化内涵，在一定程度上促进了中西文化之间的传播、融合和交流。由于中西方文化存在较大差异，大多数中国观众不能理解影视作品中的原语言，这样一来，影视作品字幕的翻译显得尤为重要。在翻译中，文化空缺现象对中英文的翻译实践带来了很大难度。本文以当前备受观众追捧的美国情景喜剧《打工姐妹花》、《生活大爆炸》为例，剖析针对文化空缺现象，译者在字幕翻译中可采用的翻译方法和处理手段。希望可以通过合理地选择翻译手段来尽量完整生动的传递中西方文化。 Nowadays, with the accelerating process of globalization, cultural communications become more frequent than ever. As many American TV series swarm into China, it is growing in popularity, and promotes cultural exchange and cultural communication between Chinese and western cultures. Due to the great cultural differences between China and western world, most of Chinese audiences may not understand the original lan- guage in the TV series. Therefore, it would be particularly important to translate the subtitle properly. In the process of subtitle translation of A- merican movies or sitcoms, cultural vacancy brings great difficulty to translation practice. Taking 2 Broke Girls and the Big Bang Theory , they two currently popular American TV Series, for instance, based on domestication and foreignization, the author analyses the proper translation methods to bridge the cultural vacancy, and hope that it could make some contribution to enhance the communication and understanding between Chinese and Western cultures.
