摘　　要： 本文从两个方面回顾了历年来在英语教学和二语习得领域对词汇能力的评估模式研究:一是从静态共时的微观视角对词汇各级知识进行成分分析的本体评估法;二是从动态历时的宏观视角对学习者词汇能力的发展实施观察和评价的连续体观。在此基础上探讨了它们分别对词汇教学与研究的启示,并提出可以依据教学测试或研究的需要,设计多种词汇联想任务来满足上述两种评价模式的需要,从而更简捷有效地评估学习者的词汇知识和能力的发展。 Through detailed review of vocabulary assessment models in language teaching and research from two perspectives: componential analysis of word knowledge and continuum analysis of lexical competence,this paper argues that word association test(WAT) proves to be viable in assessing learners' lexical knowledge and development provided that caution must be exercised in choosing stimulus words and in classifying association responses.
