摘　　要： 作为一种重要的城市设计元素，骑楼空间的实质是私有空间的公共化和市民化；另一方面，作为社会生活的重要场所和地域建筑文化的鲜明符号，骑楼又是一种充满人本精神的文化载体。事实上，在现代城市中不可能全盘照搬传统的骑楼建筑形式。我们应探究骑楼的内涵，发扬其核心精神，从而创造出新的建筑形式，实现骑楼的可持续发展。 The author considers that as an important element of urban design, the essential of arcade building space is the right about from privately owned to public possession with civic life. On the other hand, as an important place of social life and a bright symbol of geographical architecture-culture, it is a cultural carrier with a humanistic spirit. In fact, it Is impossible to copy totally the traditional forms in modern cities We should search for its connotations and carry forward the spirit at the core, thus creating new-type architectural forms and realizing its sustainable development.
