摘　　要： 和谐社会应当是尽量避免争论的社会，但在构建社会主义和谐社会的过程中，有许多容易引起争论的问题，如何成功避免争论不是一件容易的事情。邓小平“发明”的许多不搞争论的方法，今天仍然对我们具有指导意义。这些方法主要是：1、确定工作中心是搞经济建设，强调一心一意搞建设不动摇；2、“摸着石子过河”，走一步看一步；3、及时总结经验；4、允许看，拿事实说话；5、过去的一风吹，一切向前看。 A harmonious society must be one which avoids unnecessary arguing as far as possible. However, during the process of constructing a socialist harmonious society, there are many controversial issues and it is not an easy thing to avoid such arguments. Deng Xiaoping ＂invented＂ many methods to avoid arguments, which still serve as guiding principles. Such methods arc, 1） setting economic construction as the focus of work and firmly emphasizing single-mindedness upon economic construction; 2） ＂crossing a river by touching cobblestones＂ and looking carefully before taking each step; 3） summing up experience in time; 4） allowing looking around and speaking with evidences; 5） letting the past pass away and completely looking forward.
