摘　　要： 上世纪八十年代,随着其戏剧《莱妮大妈的黑臀舞》的成功,奥古斯特·威尔逊在美国戏剧界声名鹊起。之后,威尔逊凭借着他的二十世纪系列剧,成功的把一部美国黑人的体验史呈现在观众和读者面前。 本文主要分析了其系列剧中的五个剧本,包括《莱妮大妈的黑臀舞》、《篱笆》、《乔·特纳来了又去》、《钢琴课》和《七把吉它》。通过比较布鲁斯音乐的特点和这五个剧本,本文主要探讨布鲁斯音乐对威尔逊戏剧创作的影响,主要包括戏剧主题、人物刻画和剧本结构三方面。 通过细致地分析,本文得出这样的结论:布鲁斯音乐极大地影响了威尔逊的戏剧创作。首先,威尔逊利用布鲁斯音乐揭示其戏剧主题;其次,威尔逊借助布鲁斯音乐刻画了具有鲜明个性的人物形象;最后,威尔逊采用布鲁斯音乐中的“反复”和“应答”技巧来建构其戏剧结构。总之,威尔逊在其剧本中成功的运用了布鲁斯音乐,从而形成了自己独特的戏剧创作手法。 August Wilson/(1945-2005/) is one of the most eminent contemporary African American playwrights.His twentieth century cycle of ten plays,in which he has written the experience of the African Americans,earns him the place in American theatre. This thesis focuses on the blues music in five of Wilson's plays,including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom,Fences,Joe Turner's Come and Gone,The Piano Lesson and Seven Guitars.By comparing some lyrics and characteristics of the blues with Wilson's plays,this thesis attempts to find out how the blues has influenced Wilson's creation of the plays.This thesis analyzes the influence of the blues from the following three aspects:the theme,the characterization and the structure. Through the detailed analysis,this thesis concludes that Wilson's plays have been greatly influenced by the blues.First,Wilson skillfully utilizes the blues in his plays to convey the theme of self-definition and hardship of the African Americans.Second,the utilization of the blues in the plays helps to portray some unique women characters with strong personality.Finally,Wilson employs the techniques of repetition,call and response in the creation of his plays.To sum up, the successful utilization of the blues helps Wilson to form his unique dramaturgy.
