摘　　要： 本报告选定物联网作为MTI毕业翻译实践材料。本人翻译该书的第七章《物联网的走向及全球概述》。这一章描述了物联网在几个不同国家和地区的发展及未来的走向。该文本为科技文本，同时译文应反映出科技文的相应特点。 翻译过程从三个部分来执行，分别为：译前准备；翻译过程；译后事项。译前准备，通读文本，列出该篇所需的术语表，对涉及的专业知识和术语进行查阅；阅读平行文本如相关专著及参考书籍。同时，工具书的准备，英英，英汉词典，科技释义词典，计算机领域专业词典，以及翻译软件的安装，SDLTrados, Yaxin。 翻译过程，分为两个即理解过程和表达过程。理解原文语言的实质，可以从句法结构，词汇的词义及用法，技术逻辑及语言逻辑，以及体会全句的实质含义；同时遇到难懂的术语应请教该专业的人士。另一方面，表达过程为选择合适的汉语文体来表达。 译后事项为申校，须对译文的质量进行控制，可让懂中文不懂英文的人来把关中文是否通顺、地道，或既懂英文又懂中文的来看是否有漏译，错译的现象；同时让该专业人员不看英文，看所译文本是否符合该领域的阅读习惯。 此次翻译任务的预期成果是望为对物联网方面感兴趣和该领域的专业人员及究人员提供一定的参考资料，并为以后翻译该专业领域的译员提供一定的借鉴与参考。 The translator chooses the Internet of Things as the thesis translation material, and hastranslated the chapter seven, The Internet of Things Where is it Going? A GLOBALOVERVIEW. The seventh chapter describes the development of the Internet of Thingsin some different countries and regions, and the condition of its future going. As thetext belongs to the scientific text, the translation text should reflect the characteristicof this kind text. The process of the translation is divided into three parts, including thepreparation of the translation, the process of the translation and the review and qualitycontrol of the translation. During the preparation period, the lexicographical bookshad been prepared, like English-English dictionary, English-Chinese dictionary andthe technical term dictionary. On the other hand, the translation software has beeninstalled on the computer, like SDL Trados and Yaxin. The process of the translation can be divided into two parts. One is the process ofunderstanding and the other is expression. Knowing about the substance of thelanguage, the translator can understand the real meaning of the original text. And thetranslator needs to consult the professional person. The process of expression is toselect the appropriate style of Chinese. The process of the review after the translation, the translator needs to control thequality of the target text. And the translator has consulted one person whose major isChinese but do not understand the English, another person who knows both Chineseand English to find if the translation has the omission or mistranslation, at the sametime the third one whose major is Computer who does not read the original text firstto see whether the target text is fit for the reading habit of this field. The Translation Practice expects to provide some references for the people whoare interested in the Internet of Things or professionals of the field. And it hopes toprovide the terminology reference for the translator who has already translated thematerial of the Internet of Things.
