摘　　要： 随着中国经济的不断发展，中国与国际间体育运动交流逐渐增多。近年来，世界体育同经济一道经历着全球化一体化。体育英语由于其独特的专业性，有着与众不同的特点。译员在翻译体育英语文本或现场口译时，需要充分了解其特点才能更好地完成翻译任务。 本报告以作者在广东省黄村体育训练中心为美国外教Jason Moreno担任陪同翻译的实践经历为基础，探讨了体育英语的几大特点及翻译策略：多用专有名词、缩写词、合成词、动词及动词词组，多使用陈述句与祈使句，句子结构多短促简洁，进一步结合案例分析了其特点。并介绍了在功能主义目的论三原则的指导下，在体育英语陪同口译中运用増意、省略及重组策略的方法。 As China's economy continues to develop, its international sports exchange graduallyincreased. In recent years, the sports world is witnessing a fast integration the same asthe global economy. Nowadays, it is no longer an astonishing thing for a sport team tohave a foreign coach in China. Due to its unique expertise, sports English has uniquecharacteristics. When translating or interpreting, it is necessary for an interpreter tofully understand its characteristics in order to better complete the translation task. Within this report, the author introduces the major background as well as thecurrent situation of sports interpreting. Then he introduces the National Games inChina, which is the root reason to invite an American physical coach to come to China.After that, he analyses the requirements of this interpreting task, his clients, the task’scontents, and requirements. Besides that, he also analyses the characteristics of sportsEnglish with different cases, and introduces the strategies under the guidance ofSkopostheories.
