摘　　要： 在全球化的背景下，任何一个国家的发展都不能脱离世界市场，尤其是资本市场。证券投资基金是证券市场的重要组成部分，在中国发展迅速，对证券市场和金融行业的稳定繁荣意义重大。因此，健全相关法律法规体系，可极大地促进证券市场健康发展。中国于2013年颁布了中华人民共和国证券投资基金销售管理办法，但其英文版本尚未出版。故本文作者决定将这部法律进行全文翻译，给外国投资者提供信息，促进其在华投资。 作者以尤金奈达的功能对等理论为指导，力求忠实地传达原文信息，体现法律文本的特点。本报告首先描述此次任务的意义、源文本的特征和翻译过程，然后根据功能对等理论，分别从词汇、句子和篇章层面举例说明所采用的翻译策略。 作者真诚地希望本法律文本的英译，有助于提高外国投资者的法律意识，规范中国证券投资基金市场，分享的经验能够为法律法规英译的学习者提供有益借鉴。 In the context of globalization, a country's development cannot be divorced fromthe world market especially capital market. Securities investment funds, as afundamental component for securities market, is developing rapidly in China. It exertsan important influence on the stability and prosperity of Chinese securities market andthe financial sector. Therefore, it is fundamental to perfect the system of basic lawsand administrative regulations for sound and steady development of the securitiesmarket. China has promulgated the Regulatory Procedures for the Sale of SecuritiesInvestment Funds of the People’s Republic of China in2013. However, the Englishversion of this new law has not yet been published. To help foreign investors betterunderstand the law and facilitate their investment in China, the author decided totranslate its complete text. With the theory of functional equivalence proposed by Eugene A. Nida as theguidance, the author tries to faithfully convey original information in terms ofmeaning, and represent the characteristics of legislative texts in terms of style. Thereport begins by stating the significance and features of the source text and describingthe translation process, and aims at exemplifying the strategies at lexical, syntactic,and textual levels respectively according to the theory of functional equivalence. The author sincerely hopes that the translation of the original departmentregulation will contribute to enhancing foreign investors’ moral awareness andstandardizing the securities investment fund market in China, and that her experiencesin this report will shed some light for future learners on the Chinese-Englishtranslation of legislative texts.
