摘　　要： 阿拉伯故事集《一千零一夜》不仅是东方民间文学的优秀遗产，也是世界民间文学中最为惊艳的一朵奇葩,被高尔基称为“世界民间文学创作中最壮丽的一座纪念碑”。作为一部脍炙人口的世界民间文学著作，《一千零一夜》具有明显的东方文学特征，而其中最为文学家和学者们关注的一点，要数其连环穿插式故事结构的叙事特征。《一千零一夜》中所采用的连环穿插式叙事结构，属于东方民间故事连环穿插式叙事结构的一部分，既继承了古代印度连环穿插式叙事结构的基本要义，又在传播与成书的过程中将其日臻完善、发扬光大。这一叙事结构的主要特征在于其大故事套小故事的环环相扣的连锁式特点，即把所有的故事组织在一个大框架之中。本论文拟用叙事学中的“隐含作者”理论、民俗学中的“口头程式”理论（又称帕里—洛德理论），以《一千零一夜》中的个别故事为例，从垂悬和平卧（即纵横）两大方面对其连环穿插式叙事结构展开细致的分析和探究。从理论层面具体地剖析该叙事结构的特征、不同故事的隐含作者及其连环穿插式叙事结构之间的关系以及叙述者讲述过程中使用的“口头程式”对故事结构在讲述时长和篇幅上的构建，进一步探究其连环穿插式结构在隐含作者及口头程式理论中的“一千零一”的无限延伸隐喻。 The Arabic folk tale collection The Arabian Nights is one of the most treasuredworks of the oriental literature. It is credited by Maxim Gorky as the most“magnificent monument of folk literature”. Of its many distinctive characters oforiental folk literature, The Arabian Nights is most noted by its “embedded narrative”style. The “embedded narrative” style in this classic is part of the oriental folk literature.It originated from the ancient India narrative style and enriched through thedevelopment and publication of this book. The style is manifested mainly in the waythat small stories are organized under a big story frame. This dissertation intents to utilize the “invisible author” theory of narratology andthe “oral formulaic theory” of folklore to analyze several stories in The ArabianNights from both the vertical and horizontal perspectives. This dissertation willexplore the relations between narrative structure, invisible authors and embeddednarration from a theoretical perspective and the influence of the oral formulaicadopted on the length and text of the story. It will make a step further in the study ofmetaphorical meaning of embedded narrative style in invisible author and oralformulaic in The Arabian Nights.
