摘 要: 从上世纪九十年代起,中国学者开始引入企业管理传统的概念,并进行了探索式的研究,越来越多的学者尝试从不同角度挖掘、研究管理传统的基本概念、内容、形成、作用与影响等内容,管理传统逐渐成为学者研究企业组织决策、战略选择以及战略变革时都将提及的理论概念。但是,关于管理传统究竟是什么,其具体应该包括些什么内容,管理传统是如何形成的,对企业会产生什么样的影响等基本问题,却一直缺乏明确、统一的答案。对于企业管理传统的研究,仍然缺乏一个统一、完整的理论框架。 本文运用文献研究的方法,通过对国内外有关企业管理传统的相关文献的阅读(主要研究国外顶尖核心期刊文献,以及少数国内核心期刊文献),对理论进行深入挖掘,并进行梳理、整合,尝试明确企业管理传统的概念、具体内容,企业管理传统的形成过程、因素,企业管理传统的影响与作用机制等基本问题,尝试构建企业管理传统一个初步的理论框架。 通过对国外相关文献的研究与回顾,笔者明确企业管理传统理论的发展,经历了形成阶段(1930-1962)、缓慢发展阶段(1962-1980)、快速、多角度发展阶段(1989至今)的三个过程,但目前仍缺乏一个统一、完整的理论框架。企业的管理传统是指企业所积累的,指导企业具体实践的逻辑和经验。其内容包括组织历史、核心价值观、原则和规范、管理实践、企业文化等方面的内容。企业管理传统具体包括企业文化、组织历史、核心价值观、战略思维模式、企业管理模式。企业的管理传统是一系列制度如经济、政治、文化、历史、宗教、教育等相互作用而形成的,其中起核心作用的是教育制度。企业的管理传统也是一系列制度相互作用的产物,受企业的出生和定位、成长路径等因素的影响。 企业管理传统的作用是双面的,对企业既有积极促进的一面,又有消极限制的一面,积极作用表现在:管理传统是企业知识的来源,是企业建立竞争优势的潜在来源;管理传统对企业的具体实践有指导与预测的作用;管理传统是总—分公司之间控制的工具,相似的管理传统有利于组织间的学习与模仿。消极的作用则表现在管理传统可能在一定程度上排斥变化,限制企业组织结构的改变;制约企业运用新知识、方法,限制企业的战略变革;限制企业的创新。 本文通过对文献的深入、细致研究,理清了企业管理传统理论的发展脉络,明确了企业管理传统的概念、内容,形成过程与因素,影响与作用机制等基本问题,尝试提出了企业管理传统的理论框架,填补了理论研究的空白。通过研究也表明,企业管理传统是企业不可忽视的重要因素,可能促进企业的发展,成为核心竞争优势的来源,也可能限制企业的战略变革与决策。企业在决策中必须清楚认识自身的管理传统,正视管理传统的影响。本研究也为企业提供了一定的实践启示。 Since the1990’s, Chinese scholars began to propose the concept of administrativeheritage /(managerial tradition/), opened up the study of corporate administrative heritage.More and more scholars began to analysis it from different angles, and developed the study ofadministrative heritage’s content, form, effect and influence etc. Administrative heritagebecome more and more important when scholars study on enterprise organizationdecision-making, strategic choice. Even so, but what exactly is administrative heritage? Andhow does administrative heritage form and function, which basic problem remains uncertain.A clear theoretical framework of administrative heritage still unfound and not established, itis difficult to define the specific content, form and function of administrative heritage today. This article applies the method of literature research, reading and studying the relatedliterature from top journal both in China and abroad about the corporate administrativeheritage /(international top core periodical literature, and a few domestic core periodicalliterature/), further research into the theory, and make it clear, integration, try to clear theconcept and the content of the corporate administrative heritage, the formation of thedevelopment process, the factors, mechanism of the influence of administrative heritage andthe other basic problem, trying to build a preliminary theoretical framework of administrativeheritage. Through the studying of related literature, the author clearly define the development ofthe administrative heritage theory, through the forming stage /(1930-1962/), the slowdevelopment stage /(1962-1980/), fast and multi-angle development stage /(since1989/) of thethree process, there is still lack of a unified and complete theoretical framework of theadministrative heritage. The administrative heritage refers to the logic and experience that thecorporate accumulated, which guide enterprise specific practice. Its content includesorganization history, core values, principles and norms, management practices, the content ofthe enterprise culture, etc. Administrative heritage include enterprise's core values, strategicthinking mode, enterprise management mode, the influence of the leader, the influence ofcorporate culture, and the influence of organizational history, etc. Administrative heritage is aseries of system, such as economy, politics, culture, history, religion, education and other interactions, which formed the core role of which is education system. Administrativeheritage is the product of a series of system interaction, the enterprise's birth and positioning,the influence of such factors as the growth path. The function of administrative heritage is both-side, which has the positive side of theenterprise, and negative limitation. The positive function of administrative heritage displaysin: tradition is the source of enterprise knowledge management, is the enterprise to establish apotential source of competitive advantage. The concrete practice of the administrativeheritage of enterprise has the role of guiding and forecasting. A negative role is in theadministrative heritage may refuse to change, restrict enterprise organization structure change;and may restrain the enterprises to use the new knowledge, methods, regulation on enterprisestrategic change. Administrative heritage may also limit the innovation of the enterprise. In this article, through the in-depth and detailed study of literature, clarifying thedevelopment of the theory of administrative heritage, making it clear that the administrativeheritage’s concept, content, forming process and factors that influence and functionmechanism of the basic problems, and making attempts to put forward the theoreticalframework of administrative heritage, in order to fill the gaps in the theoretical study.Through research also suggests that the administrative heritage cannot be ignored, which isthe important factors that may promote the development of enterprises, become the source ofthe core competitive advantages, and may limit the strategic transformation of enterprises anddecision-making. Enterprise must clearly understand their own in the decision-makingmanagement tradition, of the influence of traditional management in the face. This study alsoprovides some inspiration from the practice of for the enterprise.
