冷笑话能让人体验到“冷“么?

摘  要: 本研究设计了三个实验,以体验认知的角度来探讨阅读一种特殊的幽默体裁—冷笑话所产生的情绪体验与低温知觉之间的关系。实验一采用2/(冷笑话//一般笑话/)×2/(高//低温图片/)两因素组内设计,通过记录被试眼动,探讨被试阅读不同形式幽默后对高低温图片注意偏向的影响。实验二采用2/(冷笑话//一般笑话/)×2/(中性平静//正性愉快情绪面孔/)两因素混合设计,使用句-图匹配范式探讨不同幽默题材与不同效价情绪之间的关系。实验三采用内隐联想测验/(IAT/),探讨高温//低温概念与正性//中性情绪之间的内隐联想强度。实验结果表明:(1)被试阅读冷笑话后对低温图片的总注视时间短于对高温图片的总注视时间,说明对冷笑话的阅读能够促进对低温图片的知觉加工。(2)被试阅读冷笑话后判断中性平静情绪面孔快于判断正性愉快情绪面孔,表明对冷笑话的理解可以产生一种类似于中性平静的情绪。(3)低温概念与中性平静情绪间的内隐联系显著强于低温概念与正性愉快情绪间的内隐联系。总体而言,对冷笑话的阅读理解可以启动被试的低温概念,这在一定程度上说明冷笑话能让人“体验到冷”。根据体验认知的理论,认知主体的身体与认知活动之间是一种相互作用的关系。因此本研究认为,对冷笑话的阅读理解是一种认知活动,而冷笑话所产生的低温知觉启动效应在一定程度上反映了身体的一种知觉变化,冷笑话的理解能引发低温知觉启动效应,这支持了体验认知的观点。同时,阅读冷笑话所产生的情绪体验相较于正性愉快情绪而言更类似于中性平静情绪,IAT研究表明,这种特殊的情绪体验与低温概念二者之间存在较强的内隐联想强度,但这二者间具体存在何种关系还有待进一步研究。 Three experiments were designed in this study, to explore the relationshipbetween an emotional experience produced by reading a special humor–cold jokesand the lower temperature perception. The first experiment used2/(cold joke//general joke/) x2/(higher//lower temperature picture./) two factors within-groupdesign. Through recording participants’ eye movements we investigate the influenceon attentional biases of different temperature pictures caused by reading differenttexts. Experiment two used2/(cold joke//general joke/) x2/(neutral\positive facialaffective pictures/) two factors mixed design, by using the sentence-graph matchingparadigm to investigate the relationship between different subjects and differentemotions. Experiment three using the implicit association test /(IAT/) to exploreimplicit association between higher//lower temperature concept and positive//neutralemotions. The results show that:/(1/) after reading cold jokes, participants’ totalfixation on lower temperature pictures is longer than that on higher temperaturepictures, which suggests that the comprehension of cold jokes can promote theperceptual processing for lower temperature pictures;/(2/)after reading cold jokes, thespeed of judging neutral facial affective pictures is faster than that of judging positivefacial affective pictures, indicating that the comprehension of cold jokes can induce asort of emotion similar to the neutral emotion;/(3/) the implicit relationship betweenlower temperature concepts and neutral emotion was significantly closer than thatbetween lower temperature concepts and positive emotion. Overall, thecomprehension of cold jokes can prime the concepts about lower temperature, whichindicates that to some extent, cold joke can make people "feel cold". According to theembodied cognition, the relationship between body and cognition is a kind ofinteraction. Therefore, we suggest that comprehension of cold joke is a cognitiveactivity, while the effect of priming lower temperature perception induced by coldjokes reflects a sensuous change in body, the comprehension can lead to theperceptual priming effects, which supports the point of embodied cognition. What’s more, the emotional feeling induced by reading the cold joke is similar to neutralemotion. As it’s shown in IAT, there is a close implicit association between thisspecific emotion and the concept of lower temperature. However, this kind ofrelationship needs to be further studied.
