As the knowledge economy era, knowledge has replaced land, labor, capital and other traditional factors of production, jumped as the most vital economic resource and the dominant source of competitive advantage. Consequently, how to use effective knowledge management tools for the development of knowledge innovation to achieve competitive advantage, are problems to be solved for all levels of organizations. As a key element of knowledge management actions, knowledge transfer is becoming the critical competitive advantage for many organizations. Universities as knowledge and talent double gathering, a lot of knowledge transfer activities take place here, the previous researches of knowledge transfer went along two basic clues of inside and outside in organizational entities. Internal knowledge transfer between teachers and students as a microcosm of university knowledge transfer within the organization, their performance has a basic position. And doctoral students as the highest level of university cultivation, an important force on scientific research and knowledge innovation, knowledge transfer performance between doctoral tutor and doctoral student directly affect the ability of university knowledge innovation. Therefore, it is essential to conduct knowledge transfer research between teachers and students within the university to improve the knowledge transfer efficiency between them, so enhancing the innovative capability of university. I started with university knowledge transfer features and influencing factors, by using theoretical analysis combining with empirical analysis, knowledge transfer performance between doctoral tutor and doctoral student within university research are analyzed.
