摘　　要： 本文从语义层面来阐述话语中的推理照应关系 ,试图阐明语用理论除了能为话语句法层面的研究提供有说服力的解释外 ,还可以为话语在语义层面的研究做出有益的补充 ,从而得出结论 :话语研究中的句法、语义和语用三个层面可以成为相互联系、相互制约、相互补充的有机统一体。文章认为 ,推理照应作为语言表达的一种手段 ,是对话语的含意或隐性表述的具体内容做出阐释或补足 ;强调话语中推理照应关系与其它构成成分之间的关系进行相互作用 ,并产生一定意义的话语命题 ,表达这些命题的话语在不同的语境下又引起不同的言语行为 ;弄清这一切不仅对推理照应关系本身的理解 。 This paper takes as its goal of research ‘bridging reference’ in discourse. It tries to demonstrate that pragmatic theories, apart from providing persuasive explanations to the syntactic analysis of discourse, contribute considerably to the semantic analysis of discourse under scrutiny. Consequently it derives from the analysis that the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects complement one another in discourse interpretation. It argues that bridging reference, as a linguistic expression, functions as an explanation or supplement to what is expressed implicitly in discourse. It emphasizes that bridging reference relationship, interacting with other component parts of a discourse, results in different propositions, and that the discourses therein these propositions are expressed are used in different contexts to perform various speech acts. Therefore, a fuller understanding of all these has great significance not only to the interpretation of such a language phenomenon itself, but also to that of some other language phenomena.
