摘　　要： 小说中人物话语的表达方式受到了来自叙述学和文体学领域学者的关注,他们已对各种引语形式的表达功能进行了比较深入的研究。然而,《阿Q正传》及其英译本的对比研究表明,中文小说中人物引语形式与英语小说有很多不同之处,因此,描述它们在汉英翻译中的转换方式及控制转换的策略将有助于汉英小说的翻译实践。 Researchers and experts of both Narratology and Stylistics have done much work in differentiating the functions of various modes of speech presentation in fictions. However, as the contrastive study of both the Chinese and English versions of The True Story of Ah Q is to reveal, the modes of speech presentation in fictions of the two languages have their own characteristics. Therefore it is helpful to EC translation to describe the relevant factors to determine the strategies in transference of the modes of speech presentation from Chinese into English.
