摘　　要： 文理学院在美国已存在数百年,在取得巨大成就的同时也面临着不可忽视的问题与危机。分析表明,这些问题与危机主要表现为文理学院办学目标模糊不清,学生对博雅教育需求明显下降,博雅教育地位下降,通识教育缺乏核心课程,融资危机等。造成这些问题与危机的原因在于高等教育市场化,高中阶段职业教育的兴起与发展,以及金融危机与经济衰退等因素的综合作用。在现实环境下,文理学院需要为自身的生存和发展做出调整或改革。 With a history of several hundred years, the Liberal Arts College in the United States is now facing severe crises, despite the great achievement it has made in the past decades. The analysis shows that the crises include the blur ring goals of liberal arts colleges, the sharply declining demand for liberal arts ed ucation by students, its dropping recognition, the lack of core curriculums, finan cial crisis, etc. The root cause lies in higher education marketization, the preva lence of vocational programs in high schools as well as the financial crisis and economic recession. Under such realistic circumstances, liberal arts colleges have to make adjustments and reform for their own survival and development.
