Since the early 1970s and especially the post-cold war, the U.S. foreign policy-making system has been transformed from a relatively closed and presidentially dominated system into a more open and pluralistic system. This article makes a review of the decision structure of U.S. China policy and the influence of its demands in a political systematic analytical method. It concludes that it is possible to influence the U.S. China policy by affecting the demands from the congress, interest groups and the media.
