This essay concerns the way ethnic women voice by discussing the texts of Maxine Hong Kingston s the Woman Warrior and Geling Yan's Fusang. The works both reconstructs the history of Chinese immigrants in America. They blur the boundary of auto \ biography and fiction. They also shape a brave female survivor who get through the oppression of gender and reel. Mother and Fusang then become the examples for authors to meditate the lives of American Chinese women. I conclude that Chinese women writers reconstructe both the Chinese identity and the Chinese immigrant history, discovering the silent and hidden fact in the American mainstream history.
