摘　　要： 任何教学法都不是无本之木。了解英语教学法的语言学基础 ,能使我们认识到它们的来龙去脉 ,分析与把握它们的可取之处。翻译法、听说法、情景法与交际法是我国英语教学中影响最大、曾经或正在被广泛接受的四种教学法 。 Any teaching method has its own resource.The awareness of the linguistic bases of English teaching methods may help us recognize the methods'resources,purposes and recommendations.The translation method,audiolingual method,situational method and communicative method are the four widely accepted English teaching methods in China,and they cover the main course of Chinas English teaching.This paper tries to study the linguistic bases of the above four methods.Besides,the teaching principles and some most influential textbooks concerning the methods are mentioned.
