摘　　要： 　北约东扩是发生在20世纪90年代具有全局性影响的大事件。作为首当其冲的俄罗斯对此感受最紧迫,因为东扩会威胁到俄罗斯的生存。普京总统上任后,采取更为现实的应对措施,以图缓和双方的冲突。对于俄罗斯能否加入北约,以及俄罗斯与北约关系前景问题,目前就下结论似乎为时尚早。 The Expansion of NATO in the 1990s was certainly of worldwide importance. Russia has felt this impact most intensely and profoundly. After Vladimir Putin came into office, he adopted a more realistic stance in Russia's accession to NATO, in an effort to ease the tension between the two sides. However, it is yet too early to say for sure that Russia will be admitted into this organization.
