摘　　要： 牛希济经历了“人间无路相逢”[1 ] 的不幸 ,而其不同流合污的不卑不亢的个性 ,使之长期处于社会底层 ,但这并没有动摇他追求理想与自由的强烈愿望。炽热的道教氛围给他提供了一条宣泄内心世界悲苦的合理途径。知识分子的良知驱使他去关怀和同情那些遭受着封建统治带来苦难的人们。本此 ,对牛希济道教本意词的理解与诠释 。 Niu Xiji underwent the sadness of 'no way in this mortal world for meeting the Goddess'. His personality that was neither haughty nor humble, and the fact that he would never wallow in the mire with evil persons, made him live in the lowest rung. However, these could never shake his strong willing to pursue his own ideals and liberty. The flaming Taoism atmosphere provides for him a reasonable way to release the sadness and bitterness of his deepest mind. The conscience of being an intellectual prompted him to show loving care and sympathy for the people suffering from the feudalism ruler. In view of the above, we should have a further understanding and annotation of the Taoist original-meaning words of Niu Xiji.
