摘　　要： 详尽讨论了定性研究和定量研究的差异。定性方法源于自然主义或人文主义范式 ,核心是整体地理解和解释自然情景。定性方法以描述性分析为基础 ,从特殊情景归纳出一般结论。定性方法更加注重现象和行为与背景之间的关系 ,现象和行为的变化过程 ,现象和行为对于行为主体所具有的意义。通过实例讨论了定性研究在体育科学研究中的意义。 The differences between qualitative study and quantitative study were elaborated. Qualitative approach came from naturalism and humanism and focuses on understanding and explaining the natural scenes as a whole. Descriptive analysis is taken as the basis of the qualitative approach and common conclusions are drawn from the specific sight. Qualitative approach emphasizes the relationships between behavior, phenomenon and their background, the process of their changes and the meaning that behaviors and phenomena have towards the actors.Through real examples the significance of qualitative study in sport science researches was discussed.
