摘　　要： 论文探讨了奈保尔三篇有关西印度群岛的作品中的模仿主题。奈保尔在其作品中揭示了刚刚脱离殖民统治的西印度群岛国家所陷入的困境。奈保尔认为,这些国家在其争取独立的过程中和独立后,不顾自己具体国情,一味模仿西方宗主国的政治理念、偏见和具体措施。一部分后殖民主义理论认为被殖民者可以通过模仿复制宗主国和白人世界来颠覆殖民统治。但在奈保尔的作品中,读者可发现这些模仿是多么可笑和不切实际。论文由此指出了后殖民理论中的不足之处。 : This article discusses the 'mimicry' theme in V. S. Naipaul's three works about the Caribbeanislands. In these works, Naipaul discloses the difficult situations faced by the Caribbean island countries, which have just got rid of the colonial domination. Naipaul thinks that in the course of these countries' struggle for independence and also after their independence, these countries always mimic the political ideas, prejudices and concrete measures of the western countries, regardless of their own situations. Some postcolonial theories believe that the colonized can manage to subvert the colonial domination by mimicking the metropolitan countries and the world of the whites. However, in Naipaul's works, the reader can find that the mimicry is very ridiculous and impractical. Hence, the article points out the deficiencies in postcolonial theories. .
