摘　　要： 小组讨论是课堂讨论的一种形式 ,它具有课堂讨论的种种好处。很多课程使用了小组讨论。依据外语习得和认知心理学理论 ,在大学英语精读课中同时配合一些小组讨论的练习 。 Group discussion is one form of class discussi on. It has various advantages a nd is widely used in many other courses, but this paper studies its application to English intensive reading based on the theories of language learning and cogn ition. It illustrates some exercises linking with the group discussion so as to attain the goal of intensive reading.
