摘　　要： 主张以培养和发展学生的英语学习兴趣为出发点,通过一些精彩的文学作品片段赏析,促使学生内在地产生一种文化上的审美需求和更大的阅读愿望,自觉投入自学,稳步提高英语水平。 The present paper proposes the idea that from the starting point of culti vating and de-veloping the student's interest in English learning,through the approach of enjoying and appreciating a number of wonderful pieces of Englis h literature,we can help the student s to generate an inner aesthetic need in culture and greater eagerness for further extensive reading.Thereupon they may take delight in self -learning.Ultimately they may achieve an all -round development in their English ability.
