摘　　要： 以富丽堂皇、精雕细琢著称的潮汕民居,其木石雕刻,以及嵌瓷、墙头、门面等装饰,均有深厚的文化渊源,它们既保存了大量的中原古风,同时又是适应潮汕地理位置和气候特点的最佳选择;这种既保留传统文化精华,又适应新环境的理念和做法,可以为寻找当代本土艺术设计风格的我们提供借鉴和启示。 Chao & Shan Residence is well known for its magnificence and exquisite workmanship. The Wood stone carving and the design of mosaic, wall top, and door fa?ade all have profound cultural origin, which not only preserves much of ancient customs in the Central Plain, but in the meantime is also the best choice to adapt to geographical location and climate characteristics of Chao & Shan areas. The concept and practice to both preserve traditional cultural essence and fit new environment could provide the revelation and reference to us who are looking for contemporary style in local art design.
