摘　　要： 文章从生态学及语言功能的视觉探索了中国英语的产生、发展及其作用,指出中国英语的产生是中国特有的环境作用于英语的结果,其产生和发展经历了自然选择的过程,中国英语所发挥的功能确立了其在英语中的地位。中国英语丰富标准英语的形式和内容,促进标准英语发展,促进中国文化的传播,对维护世界文化生态平衡、促进中华民族的身份认同感、捍卫民族文化起到积极的作用。 This thesis explores the emergence, development and roles of China English from the perspective of ecology and linguistic function. China English results from the impact of the particular Chinese environment and background on English. The origin and devel- opment of China English undergoes the process of natural selection. The functions of China English establish its position in the English family. China English enriches the forms and contents of standard English and boosts standard English, helping to spread the Chinese culture and maintaining the balance of culture ecology in the world. It also encourages the self-identification of the Chinese nation and helps to protect the Chinese national culture.
