摘　　要： 在城市的国际化竞争越来越激烈的背景下,关注文化建设和发展、关注文化形象和文化品位的提升更应当成为城市政府的理性自觉。在广州的快速发展过程中,如何建成"新岭南文化中心"成为广州当下发展无法回避的问题。为此,应从走向现代化和国际化的双重维度来审视并制定广州的文化发展策略,着眼于推进以岭南文化为底色与特质的城市文化新发展,来提升建设世界文化名城要求相适应的城市文化形象。 In the background of international competition among cities being more and more fierce,municipal governments should concentrate more on the cultural construction and development of a city,as well as the promotion of cultural image and cultural taste. In the rapid development of Guangzhou,how to build a ＂ new Ling-nan cultural center＂ has become a question of necessity. Thus,one should check form the double viewpoints of welcoming the modernization and internalization and then to determine the cultural developing strategy of Guangzhou. Focus on the new development of city culture which is featured by the promotion of Ling-nan culture to improve the city cultural image that is adapted to the requirement of an international famous city construction.
