摘　　要： “学说之间的争议,并不是灾难,而是机会,”因为争议能使理论研究更科学、更合理,对实践更具指导意义。本文从“语文”涵义入手,综述了语文学科的性质、语文教材的建设、语文考试的内容和形式等几个方面的论争。经过对比和阐述,作者试图揭示语文教学的真正本质。 The argument between different theories is an opportunity rather than a disaster,' because hot only can it make the theoretical research more scientific and reasonable but it will give much more guidance to practice Starting from the discussion of the implications of Chinese both as a subject or a means of communication and language and literature, the present paper attempts to summarize the controversial issues concerning the education of Chinese the character of the subject, the compilation of the textbooks and the form and the content of teh examination . By comparison and elaboration the author intends to bring to light the true nature of the teaching of Chi- nese.
