摘　　要： 地名具有强烈的延续性和稳定性 ,因而能够比较完整地保留了命名时所反映的文化内涵 ,是人类文化史的活化石。本文以粤东闽语区地名为例 ,探讨了地名与地理分布及地理特征、地名与经济类型及物产情况、地名与历史事件、地名与民间传说、地名与人民的社会意识、地名与语言研究、地名与军事设施及宗教信仰等的关系 ,挖掘了粤东闽语区地名的文化价值。 Because of their continuity and stability,place names are living fossils of human cultural history that retain rather completely the cultural implications they reflected when so designated.In this paper,place names at Fujian Dialect region in Eastern Guangdong Province are cited as examples to investigate the relations of place names with geographical features,economic patterns,chief produces,historical events,social ideologies,folk legends,linguistic studies,military installations,and religious beliefs,etc.,so as to dig out the cultural value thereof.
