摘　　要： 通过对1998年7月20～21日武汉市连续性暴雨的水汽图像、红外云图以及常规气象资料诊断分析,研究连续性暴雨系统发生发展的原因,探讨利用水汽图像作连续性暴雨预报的可能性.在常规气象资料和红外云图上看不出有连续性暴雨以及暴雨结束信息,而在水汽图像上可以判断出来,这种信息对暴雨预报非常重要. This paper presents a descriptive analyses on moisture images, infrared images and conventional meteorological data of a continuous heavy rain event on 20 and 21 July 1998 over Wuhan. It studies the reason of generation and development of continuous heavy rain system, discusses the probability of utilizing the moisture images for information of continuous heavy rain processes and endings which infrared images and conventional data can't find. So information from moisture images are very important for continuous heavy rainstorm.
