摘　　要： 加入 WTO之后 ,将从政治、经济、文化等不同的角度对中国高等教育带来严峻的挑战 ,同时又提供了良好的发展机遇。中国地方高等院校如何在此挑战和机遇下获得发展 ?本文就此作了探讨 ,并提出了各点建议。 China's higher education will be confronted with a serious challenge after China's entrance to WTO, but mean while it's a good opportunity for its development. Then, how are Chinese local colleges to develop facing the challenge and opportunity? The paper explores this issue and gives some suggestions.
