偶联剂改性碳酸钙晶须的工艺条件研究

摘  要: 为了探究不同改性剂用量、悬浮液浓度、改性温度及改性时间对碳酸钙晶须改性效果的影响,分别采用铝钛复合偶联剂和钛酸酯偶联剂改性碳酸钙晶须,通过测定改性后碳酸钙晶须的活化度、吸油值及粘度作为改性效果评价指标,确定两种改性剂改性碳酸钙晶须最佳工艺条件。并借助红外光谱分析、扫描电镜检测及X射线衍射分析技术对改性前后碳酸钙晶须进行检测。结果表明:①铝钛偶联剂改性碳酸钙最佳工艺条件为改性剂用量8%,改性时间60 min,改性温度80℃,悬浮液浓度8%;钛偶联剂改性碳酸钙晶须最佳工艺条件为改剂用量4%,改性时间70 min,改性温度85℃,悬浮液浓度8%。②经过改性后,粉体形貌没有变化,颗粒分散性得到显著提高,X射线衍射分析表明改性后的粉体与未改性粉体晶相组成相同;红外光谱分析表明改性后的粉体有有机质的存在。说明通过对晶须的改性,不但有效地提高了晶须的分散性与疏水性,而且还提高与有机聚合物的亲和力,为改性晶须的应用提供依据。 To study the effects on modified effect assessments of calcium carbonate whiskers,factors including modifier dosages,suspension concentrations,modification temperature,modification time,were considered. Surface modification of calcium carbonate whiskers with aluminum titanium coupling agent and titanate coupling agent was carried out. Modification effects of calcium carbonate whiskers were characterized with the activation degree,oil-absorption value and the viscosity. The original calcium carbonate whiskers and modified calcium carbonate whiskers were characterized by infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction. The results show that,firstly,the optimum conditions of calcium carbonate whiskers surface modification with aluminum titanium coupling agent were obtained,which were as follows : modifier dosage was 8%,suspension concentration was 8%,modification temperature was 80 ℃,modification time was 60 min. The optimum conditions of calcium carbonate whiskers surface modification with titanate coupling agent were modifier dosage of 4%,suspension concentration of 8%,modification temperature of 85 ℃,modification time of 70 min. Secondly,the appearances of modified powder were as the same as the original samples,but the dispersibility of modified powder improved significantly. It was confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis technology that the modified calcium carbonate whiskers kept the same bulk structure as unmodified calcium carbonate whiskers. It was inferred by infrared spectral analysis result that the modified powder with organics. It has been indicated that,not only the hydrophobicity and dispersibility of modified calcium carbonate whiskers was improved effectively,but also the compatibility with organic polymer was increased. This article provides the evidences to the application of modified whiskers.
