摘 要: 皮尔士将推理与本能看成是溯因同时具有的两个基本特征,但不少科学哲学家认为如果溯因是推理的,那么它就不会是本能的;如果溯因是本能的,那么它就不会是推理的。溯因到底是推理的,还是本能的呢?作为逻辑学家的皮尔士从来就没有放弃对溯因的逻辑追求,溯因是推理的这一点在皮尔士心里始终没有改变。皮尔士溯因中本能概念与推理概念具有一些交互的、相融的性质,本能分享推理的部分性质,不是纯粹心理的,推理与本能的不一致仅仅存在于那些在心理学框架里理解本能的人。 Peirce considers abduction as instinct and reasoning, but many philosophers think if abduction is the reasoning, it won't be the instinct; if the abduction is the instinct, it won't be the reasoning. Is abduction the reasoning, or the instinct ? Peirce never gives up the pursuit of logic to ab- duction, that abduetion is the reasoning has not been changed in Peiree's mind. Peirce's instinct shares some properties of the reasoning, and is not purely psychological. Peirce's abdnctive reasoning and instinct is compatible, the inconsistency between reasoning and instinct exists only in those who understand instinct in the framework of the psychology.
