摘　　要： 无论在政治思想史、还是在对现代政制的影响上,洛克都是极为重要的人物。英美洛克学界和政治思想界在1950年之前一直都把洛克的自然法和自然权利思想接续在古典的和经院的自然法传统之后。施特劳斯关于洛克公开发表的文献有3篇,其共同主旨就是把洛克思想接续在霍布斯之后。施特劳斯的洛克研究,是其批判现代政治哲学和以美国政制为代表的自由民主政制的重要一环。正是在施特劳斯论洛克问题的基础上,英美学界对洛克思想和自由民主政制的反思,有了层次上的提升。 Locke is a figure who plays a very important part in both the history of political thought and the im- pact of modem political system. The circles of Locke scholarship and political thoughts had always succeeded Locke＇ s thought of natural law and natural rights to the natural law tradition of the antiquity and middle ages be- fore 1950. There are three articles and comments about Locke published by Leo Strauss, and their common pur- port is to succeed Locke to Hobbes. The research of Locke by Strauss is an important link to his criticism on both modem political philosophy and liberal-democratic political system represented by the U.S. It is on the basis of Strauss＇ Locke that the reflections on Locke＇ s thought and liberal democratic political system are lifted to a high level among the US and UK academic circles.
