摘　　要： 中国先民最早发现、命名、经营钓鱼岛和明清政府长期有效的管辖与控制,表明钓鱼岛在历史上就归属于中国。中日钓鱼岛的主权争端,起源于明清政府积弱下的海洋退缩与日本维新后的海洋扩张,属于历史遗留问题。又因二战后国际政治的大国博弈,使它成为当代悬而未决的问题。 Chinese ancestors＇ initial discovery, naming and operation of Diaoyu Islands and the Ming and Qing imperial governments＇ long-term effective jurisdiction and control of Diaoyu Islands show that Diaoyu Islands belong to China historically. The dispute over the sovereignty of Diaoyu islands between China and Japan, which o- riginated from China＇ s ocean retreat due to backwardness of Ming and Qing dynasties and Japan＇ s ocean expansion following its Meiji Reform, is an issue left over by history; but the issue has now become an unsolved practical one due to the superpower game of international politics after the second World War.
